# ★ The Original Pocket Watches

Two chime playing pocket watches are seen in For A Few Dollars More. One larger watch carried by El Indio and a smaller copy carried by Colonel Douglas Mortimer. Both watches despite their size differences play the same chimes tune and feature a photo of Mortimer's unnamed deceased sister on the inside cover of the watch. Both watches feature the same chain.

The original manufacturers of the two pocket watches are unknown. Some people have attempted to research the true origins and could only surmise that they were cheap, no-name brand watches.

The original pocket watches from the film did not actually play chimes in reality. These were sound effects added by the film's sound designers.
